UK Clothing present an unrivaled service to the fashion industry. We pride ourselves as one of the leading manufacturers in the country, utilizing cutting edge technology combined with traditional methods. This, along with years of experience in the world of clothing and textile mean that we understand the needs of our global clients whilst delivering the highest quality service each and every time.
With almost 40 years’ industry experience and an ever-increasing portfolio of established clothing brands, we produce garments within the UK for clients worldwide in addition to providing consultancy services across the sector. Recently, the trade has been experiencing somewhat of a renaissance and as a result, we continue to support a growing number of fashion start-ups, small-medium sized brands and emerging designers, providing a full-scale manufacturing solution.
We are committed to providing exceptional garments that meet the high standards our clients are accustomed to from us, regardless of quantity.
Fabrics are sourced from our global portal of suppliers, ensuring the needs of our clients are met for quality and composition.
Sometimes, our clients require assistance with getting their designs production-level ready. At UK Clothing, we are always at hand to develop custom measurements. This includes working from existing patterns that we are able to grade, creating new garment sizes along the way.
With each garment cut, stitched and finished by hand, our clients can be assured of satisfaction. In addition to this, each piece undergoes a strict quality control procedure to further guarantee the highest of standards.
Most small fashion brands and industry newcomers underestimate the production process. More often than not they may be unsure of what the best way to procure their production is and knowing what types of manufacturing options are available.
Cut Make and Trim (CMT) or Full Package Production (FPP) are two terms everyone in the industry should know of, yet remain often unknown or misunderstood.
So what do they mean and how do they differ?
The Cut Make and Trim (CMT) manufacturing operation is a great option for clients who already know how to design and pattern cut. We have worked with a variety of organisations such as small to medium-sized outlets and designer brands who opt for this type of production method.
Many of our medium to larger sized clients usually have collections designed in-house and even have sample patterns made, before we complete the manufacturing process covering production and logistics.
An alternative option for manufacturing is the Full Package Production (FPP) method.
Manufacturers who work with this type of operation will take an order from clients and then proceed to source, purchase and supply materials for each. They will complete production and proceed to deliver to your desired location.
At UK Clothing, a typical FPP journey will involve the following:
- Designing the garments
- Sourcing and purchasing raw materials
- Making and grading of patterns
- Prototype sampling
- Producing fit samples
- Mass production
- Mass sampling
- Packing and shipping
This manufacturing process is perfect for creating an end-product that reflects the vision of our clients along with our assistance. Whether we at UK Clothing support a campaign for men’s casual wear or a range of women’s luxury fashion, a positive and enjoyable journey for each client as well as high quality final results is and will always be our company mission.
